The Centre Square in Kentville acts as a community hub that welcomes everybody, while serving as a The community of Bridgewater, Nova Scotia used their project funding to transform a vacant lot into a vibrant place for people to visit, connect, play, and enjoy. This King Street lots have been gussied up with new public chalkboards, seating, lighting, and plant life—creating a vibrant and inviting public space and proving that any unused space can become a place for people with a few key improvements. As an extension of this project, beautification and public seating developments have been implemented in downtown parks creating additional welcoming spaces for locals.
