Build Nova Scotia welcomes new Vice President of Infrastructure, Lands & Community Development

May 23, 2023—Halifax Nova Scotia: Build Nova Scotia is thrilled to welcome its new Vice President of Infrastructure, Lands & Community Development—Jonathan Veale. In this critical role, Jonathan will lead all aspects of our work to steward strategic infrastructure development for and with communities in all corners of the province.

Jonathan is a licenced professional planner and a proven industry leader with a wealth of infrastructure design and development experience spanning the public and private sector.

Most recently he served as Chief Design Officer in a joint role Nova Scotia Health and the Department of Health & Wellness where he led the implementation of the Care Coordination Centre—a province-wide transformation of operations with the introduction of team-based accountability and new technology. During the pandemic, he led the provincial COVID-19 Emergency Response Task Force from February 2020 to August 2021. Previously, he was responsible for major provincial initiatives including health system planning, and major investments to expand primary care.

Jonathan is on the job and already digging in to support our work with communities across Nova Scotia.
