Community-Led Placemaking Program
ABOUT
Few things bring community members together quite like a farmer’s market, and this where the Community-Led Placemaking project in Pugwash started. Open space near the Pugwash Farmers’ Market is being enhanced to expand opportunities for residents and entrepreneurs beyond the regular Saturday morning market.
This project began as an expansion of the space surrounding the market, with new public seating provided by way of locally sourced tree stumps! The reimagined space is continuing its development to include more seating, a train-themed play sculpture, external green and programming space, shelter for the market and community spaces, and more.
